Kalavrita
Kalavria is a town, a province and a municipality in the East Central part of the prefecture of Achaea. It is located 77 km SE of Patras (1.5 h driving through magnificent and eye-catching nature) and 180 km West of Athens. Kalavrita is a popular tourist destination and can be visited throughout the year.
 
Some of the essential points of interest are the Ski Resort (situated just outside Kalavrita), the Vouraikos Canyon which can be approached through the "Odontotos" (a rare example of a fully functional cog railway, offering breath-taking view), the Cave of the Lakes (close to the village Kastria of the Municipality of Klitoria, where the natural beauty of the lakes and the stalactitic decor attracts a great number of visitors; a must-see for the lower of geology, petrology, anthropology and paleontology), the historic monasteries as well as the beautiful mountainvillages of the region.

The province of Kalavrita is comprised of many beautiful villages each one offering a direct touch with matter nature. Natural beauty, old-stoned mansions and houses, magnificent routes that can be reached by bicycles, bikes, trekking or 4x4 wheel driving. Kalavrita - Culture Summer 2009
The Program "Kalavrita, Summer of Culture 2009" include twenty events with famous names of Greek music scene and local art groups.

The concert of the famous Greek singer Haroula Alexiou, on Friday 7 August at 21.30 in the High School of Kalavrita entitled «The clank of the heart» and the concert of Thanos Mikroutsikos and Ipogeia Revmata on Friday 31 July at 21:30 are some attractive events for this summer in Kalavrita.
